Scott Henson

 

Dr. Scott Henson has executive experience in for-profit, non-profit, and hybrid organizations including President and CEO for a for-profit media company, CEO and International Director for a global non-profit organization, and CEO of Accrescent's parent company, an international diversified corporation with complementary for-profit and charitable purposes. In addition, he has held management positions in marketing, operations, financial analysis, and strategic planning in industries as diverse as publishing, textiles and apparel, and multimedia. Having worked in more than sixty countries, he has broad experience across industries, cultures and nationalities, and legal systems.

Scott holds a PhD in International Relations with a concentration in international law from Vanderbilt University, MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and is currently completing a research doctorate at Vrije University and the Amsterdam Business Research Institute focusing on social enterprise and hybrid organizations. He teaches international law, politics, and business at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Scott and Amy have seven children and keep sheep, cattle, and horses on their small farm overlooking the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee.

Scott is focused on leveraging economic resources and harnessing business ingenuity for solutions to the most pressing global needs and problems. He combines rigorous academic research with practical business experience to develop effective strategies and action plans for long-term impact.

Nicholas R. Morgan, J.D.

 

Nicholas Morgan is a proven senior executive, consultant, and legal advisor for charitable organizations, businesses, and hybrid organizations. 

 

Nicholas is founder and attorney at B4T Law, specializing in the area of the law where non-profit entities and for profit businesses intersect. Additionally, Nicholas is an adjunct Professor of Nonprofit Law. He previously served as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at TEAM, a global nonprofit organization; has served as general counsel for other international charities; various roles in venture capital funds, investment banking, and in senior operations roles at churches. In addition to consulting and legal practice, Nicholas serves as President and COO at Accrescent's parent company. Nick and Autumn have three children and live in the heart of Idaho mountain country.

Nicholas Morgan holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Idaho College of Law and has been active contributor to many publications in the areas of economic development, law, and social enterprise.  He trained and contributed at the venerable Spence Law Firm. Nicholas graduated with High Honors from Western Seminary, with an M.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies, and holds a B.S. from the University of Idaho where he was a Winkler Memorial Scholar as well as the Robert R. Lee Promise Scholar. 

 

Nicholas’s passion is to inspire innovation in legal structuring, business operations, and systems, in order to generate positive free market impact on societal needs.

Ray Chow

 

Ray Chow is an accomplished senior executive, consultant and coach with a passion and calling to serve people and organizations - help them address barriers, uncover blindspots, explore meaning, embrace the opportunity of change and achieve their full potential. 

 

Ray is a former Ernst & Young Advisory Partner where he spent over 15 years leading cross-cultural teams in all facets of operations, including finance, human resources, learning & development, marketing and business development.  He has led, coached and consulted with cross-cultural teams globally with deep experience leading teams all over the world with deep experience in Greater China and Asia-Pacific.  Over the last ten years he has served for-profit and not-for-profit clients in interim COO and CFO roles, business strategy and execution, human resource strategy and effectiveness and new start-up development.  He has also coached hundreds of executives and leaders in their personal and professional growth. 

 

Ray is a trained Executive Coach, inter-cultural consultant, and facilitator for individuals and groups. Ray is uniquely positioned to help our clients in Asia adapt and thrive in an increasingly diverse and interconnected world. Ray graduated from the University of Waterloo in Canada with a Master and Bachelor of Accountancy degree.  He is also a Canadian and US Certified Public Accountant.

Frank Yang

Frank Yang has nearly 20 years of leadership experience in for-profit, non-profit, and entrepreneurship. He was selected into a Fortune 200 corporation’s management rotation program. During Frank’s five years there, he gained experience in operations, marketing, and strategy, managed business units, and completed several high-profile consulting projects, including for the CEO and Board.

In addition to consulting, Frank is currently in executive leadership as Acting Director the international arm of a denomination of 500 churches among 18 different countries. In this role, he consults for N. American churches in missions and develops projects with partners from Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America. Prior to this, he lived & worked in China for a different non-profit and led regional teams there for four years. In 2017, Frank founded a highly scalable startup that leverages technology to accelerate English acquisition among internationals. It has over 6,000 users in six continents.

Frank holds an M.A. in Intercultural Studies and B.S. in Operations Research Industrial Engineering with a minor in Hotel Management.

Frank is able to help teams develop creative solutions to their challenges by drawing on a wide array of experiences from various sectors around the world.

Brad McIlwain

Brad McIlwain is an experienced change leader with a demonstrated history of working through system implementations. Special skills and experience include Multinational Corporations, Nonprofit Organizations, Team Building, Management, Software as a Service (SaaS), and Strategic Planning. 

 

Brad has spent the majority of his professional career helping organizations seeking to identify the appropriate tension of system security, reliability, and user experience. He is a former Certified Church Business Administrator, Lean Sigma Green Belt, and has a MBA from The University of Tennessee.

 

One of Brad’s passions is to assist organizations around the world seeking sophistication in cyber security and technological innovation by connecting experts with opportunities and recognizing that our greatest risk is what we do not know.

Javier Mata

Javier Mata is an experienced people manager who has worked with small and large, culturally diverse teams, in Non-Profit operations, Banking, Sales, Marketing and Media, Business Process Management and Entrepreneurship. Javier has a MBA (Masters in Business Administration) from Fresno Pacific University and a B.S in International Business and Bible and Theology from Cornerstone University and Kuyper College.

Javier began his career working at Partners Worldwide, where he learned about business relationships, networks and partnerships. He then moved to multi-cultural banking operations in Wells Fargo Bank. There he gained deep knowledge of banking and business, international growth strategy, systems and financial management and reporting.

Following his passion for international business, Javier worked as a consultant on Strategic Planning and Business Process Management with the Organization of American States (OAS) and the governments of Perú, El Salvador and Guatemala. In this capacity he engaged Ministers of Culture, Economy and Finance, Security and Strategy to help modernize and strengthen the countries’ public institutions.

In 2019 Javier Co-founded FluentPlay to enable event organizers to bring their events to global audiences through a multilingual streaming app. Most recently, he launched Mercadito Fresh, a web-based platform that allows customers to purchase grocery and food items direct from local entrepreneurs, farmers and small business owners. Javier is married to Elis and they have one child.

 

As an international executive and entrepreneur, Javier is skilled and passionate in helping businesses succeed in their multi-cultural, multi-national operations and cross-cultural communications.
